The A.C.M.E. (Additive Construction Material Experimentation) senior design program has designed and built a prototype, multi-tool platform for depositing additive construction materials for research purposes. This prototype can be seen in the video and pictures on this page. The A.C.M.E. 2021-2022 senior design team has taken on the task of characterizing and predicting printed materials, as well as refining the concrete printer. This large-scale construction 3D printer and the experimentation performed by the A.C.M.E team benefits Dr. Kraig Warnemuende (faculty advisor), project team members (design team), LeTourneau University’s Civil Engineering program, and the concrete construction industry.
