SCHEDULE: Employment is for Fall semester from August 26 – December 15, 2024.  The course is scheduled for Tu/Th 3:00-4:20 PM on campus.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:

LeTourneau University seeks an instructor for its humanities course, Introduction to Photography for the Fall 2024 semester.

This class is officially described in our Academic Catalog as “HUMA1123 - Introduction to the basics of photography, with a focus on the artistic and technical aspects of digital photography.”
QUALIFICATIONS:

LeTourneau University seeks a Candidate that:

  • has a robust Christian faith and be aligned with LeTourneau’s Christian mission of integrating faith in teaching.
  • possesses a relevant master’s degree in art, graphics, or a related field and has extensive experience in photography.
  • is knowledgeable about the history of photography, equipment, and materials.
  • is able to guide students to shoot expressive and artistic images and to edit them in creative ways.
  • has a personal portfolio of art photography, ideally with professional achievements such as exhibitions, publications, commissions, grants, or residencies.
  • has a demonstrated record (or show potential) of excellence in undergraduate teaching as well as having good relationships with colleagues.
