REPORTS TO: Associate Director of Grounds and Custodial Services
SCHEDULE: Hours are primarily Monday through Friday, but responsibilities may occasionally require additional hours and flexibility that can include evenings and weekends.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Duties will be assigned by the Grounds Coordinator

Maintenance and repair of grounds equipment including, but not limited to:

  • Electrical and Hydraulic systems
  • Gasoline and Diesel engines
  • Two- and Four-Cycle engines
  • Mechanical repairs
  • Routine groundskeeping tasks including, but not limited to, hand mowing, string trimming, tractor mowing, riding mower mowing, pruning, plant bed preparation, planting of trees, shrubs and other plants
  • Physical motions include but are not limited to the following: lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, grasping, bending, squatting, going up and down stairs, continuous standing and walking, and any combination of the preceding.
  • Proper usage of LeTourneau University supplied chemicals.
  • Proper usage of safety equipment supplied by LeTourneau University.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Grounds experience is required.
  • Applicants must be age 18 or older
  • Texas Driver License with acceptable driving record required.
  • Have the mechanical skills, knowledge, and experience to perform the work described in #1 above.
  • Work is labor intensive, and applicants must be able to work in various weather extremes.
