Linda began her career teaching 3rd grade with the Houston Independent School District and the LaPorte Independent School District. While teaching in HISD, she taught demonstration reading lessons for teachers at her local school and other elementary schools. She also owned and operated a food business for four years alongside her husband. After her husband's sudden death due to an accident, she raised her two daughters, Tatum and Brittany. Both girls are now grown and married and have blessed her with 8 grandchildren: Elle, Baker, Jack, Macey, Brookshire, Hamilton, Franny, and Sadie Jane. Linda enjoys teaching children's Sunday school at her local church.
Linda began working at LeTourneau in October 1996 in the GAPS Adult Program as an Assessment Assistant, and later as the Undergraduate Assessment Coordinator. She worked in the GAPS program until 2013 evaluating new and updated transcripts, reviewing and approving degree completion plans, and advising students and approving transfer coursework. In Spring 2013, Linda moved to the Registrar's Office as a Transcript Specialist and is now a Senior Academic Transcript Evaluator. She evaluates all transcripts for new and former students declaring Business, Education and Computer Science degrees, and assists other evaluators on an as-need basis in other degree programs. In addition, Linda evaluates transcripts for those who have not yet declared a degree. Linda also processes forms such as change of majors, course substitutions, course re-evaluations, waivers and change of catalogs for students in the Business, Education and Computer Science programs.
