VETERANS
LeTourneau University (LETU) is thankful to every veteran for their service to our country and for their sacrifices made to protect the freedoms we share as Americans.
The information on this page is also useful to VA students that are not veterans themselves.
Military TA Information
The Department of Defense (DoD) Tuition Assistance (TA) program provides financial assistance to Service members for voluntary off-duty education programs in support of professional and personal self-development goals. TA is available for courses that are part of an approved academic degree or certificate program. The courses must be offered by schools that are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and are signatories to the current DoD Voluntary Education Partnership Memorandum of Understanding (DOD MOU), which LeTourneau is part of.
Service members should speak with their Education Services Officer (ESO) at their unit/command for further information. Each service has unique requirements that must be met and/or completed prior to or as part of the TA application process.
For specifics on our TA refund policy, please read Return of Funds to TA Issuing Agent.
THE POST 9/11 GI BILL®
LeTourneau University works with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to allow students to use their GI Bill while in school at LETU. LETU also participates in the Yellow Ribbon program which is designed to help reimburse veterans for differences in tuition not covered in the Post 9/11 GI Bill. If you have questions, please visit www.gibill.va.gov. The VA's section on the Post 9/11 GI Bill contains a wealth of information about benefits and provides answers to most questions. For further information, please feel free to call Sam Hootman or Rachel Sturgill, the School Certifying Officials (SCO) for LeTourneau University, at 903-233-4370.
