Dr. Alan Clipperton was invited to LeTourneau University in 2012 with the goal of making LeTourneau University a “university of global influence.” Before coming to LeTourneau University, Dr. Clipperton previously served at Northern State University and Minnesota State University, Mankato. In his role as Vice President of Global Initiatives & Industry Engagement, Dr. Clipperton heads all international activities including student recruitment, immigration, program development, retention, study abroad, institutional partnerships, and global service learning. Additionally, he works with industry and across academic departments to generate innovative partnerships that benefit the Longview community and LeTourneau University.
Dr. Clipperton has founded or co-founded three different independent companies over the last five years across different industries. His diverse education and experiences have motivated him to explore innovation and entrepreneurship in the education sector. This has led to many successful LeTourneau University programs and initiatives both in the US and abroad.
In his spare time, Dr. Clipperton enjoys restoring classic cars and spending time with his wife, Angela, and their three kids (Lydia, Ezra, and Jonah).
