Transfer Students
If you are an international student wanting to transfer to LETU who has completed at least one semester (12 credit hours) of university coursework, you do not need to submit any SAT or ACT scores. If you have achieved a “C” or higher in a university-level English Composition course at an accredited college or university here in the US, you do not need to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores or any other proof of English proficiency.
If you have completed university-level coursework outside the US, please have your foreign university transcript evaluated by one of the following approved credential evaluation companies: SpanTran, ECE, or WES.
If you want to transfer to LETU from another college or university in the United States, once you have been admitted to LETU, present your LETU admission letter and SEVIS record transfer information (supplied by your LETU International Admissions officer) to the DSO at your current institution. The DSO at your current school will then complete an I-20 Transfer Form for you.
You must submit official transcripts either by email or mail to your International Admissions officer (see below). All official transcripts must be sent directly from your high school or university. *We prefer that new freshmen (first-year) students submit SAT or ACT scores as proof of English proficiency, since achieving the minimum score requirement on either of these exams would provide the necessary proof of English proficiency as well as possibly enable students to receive higher scholarship awards. LETU’s official SAT school code is 6365, and our ACT school code is 4120.
Transfer students can submit any of the above standards as proof of English proficiency without it having any effect on their scholarship amount.
If students do not meet one of the above English proficiency standards, they must complete an advanced English as Second Language program, such as ELS Level 109 or ECI Level 304.
The I-20 Form, necessary for securing a student visa to enter the US, will be sent to you only after admission to LeTourneau University and proof of financial resources have been established.
According to I-20 guidelines, you must demonstrate that you will be able to afford an education at LETU through bank statements. You must also pay the $100 housing fee and $100 tuition deposit to LETU. To establish proof of financial resources, please send a copy of your bank statement or a letter from your bank showing that you have sufficient financing in place to cover the cost of attendance for one academic year to your.
